Founded in 1957 as a construction camp for Glen Canyon Dam, Page Arizona has grown to become a full service vacation resort.  The main attraction for visitors to Page is 186-mile long Lake Powell, which PAGE, LAKE POWELL, LEE'S FERRY - LODGING, NATURE PHOTOS, HIKING, BOATINGoffers 2000 miles of rugged shoreline with swimming, houseboat rentals, fishing, water skiing, sailing, and scuba diving.  

The surrounding desert also offers some of the most spectacular scenery to be found anywhere on the Colorado Plateau, and is a major draw for both adventurers, hikers and nature photographers.  We've put together a list of the Page area's best hiking trails for your convenience.

Antelope Canyon, pictured here, is famous for its sandstone formations.  This section, known as "The Crack," can only be visited with a Navajo guide.  Another section of the canyon allows hikers to take a self-guided tour.  The Paria Wilderness, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument are also nearby, and offer some of the best back-country experiences on the Colorado Plateau.
