Welcome to the travel site designed by and for people who love the American Southwest!  With the nation's greatest concentration of National Parks and Monuments, the Southwest represents the very best of America's natural heritage.  There's only one way to see this very special region . . .  with locals who really know their way around!  That's why over 100,000 travelers like yourself log on to our site every month to plan their vacations.

We've got all the free information you need and plenty of beautiful photos to help you find the best Southwest destinations for next adventure.  The site is arranged both by topic and by location, with menus that vary depending on which page you are viewing, making it very intuitive and easy to navigate.  Just click the links above to start planning your Southwest holiday, or visit our site map for a more complete list of our content.

The major national parks of the Southwest -- Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Arches, Canyonlands, Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Mesa Verde -- are known collectively as the "Golden Circle."  This inner circle of parks is found on the Colorado Plateau, which covers 134,000 square miles and is arguably the most beautiful natural feature on earth.  Surrounding the Colorado Plateau is an outer ring of equally special places to visit, such as Rocky Mountain National Park, located at the gateway points of the region. The traditional "Golden Circle Tour" consists of a 700 mile loop drive around the Colorado Plateau, requiring a minimum of one full week.

The American Southwest is also home to a rich history which blends Native American, Hispanic and Anglo cultures.  To get the full southwest experience you'll want to spend a little time in town getting to know the locals and experiencing the flavors of
this unique region. That's why we've included complete sections for Sedona, Flagstaff, Page, Cortez, Durango, Moab, Santa Fe Silverton, Telluride and Taos.

Please respect our National Parks, Monuments & Forests by taking steps to minimize your impact when you visit the Southwest.

Thanks for visiting!  Enjoy your Southwest vacation!
